Sustainable development

For over a decade, sustainable development has formed part of SOFIC’s everyday life.

Major attention is devoted to choosing raw materials, reducing the quantities of waste, and energy savings.

 

Some statistics and dates about sustainable development within SOFIC:

• 60% of ordinary waste are recycled by setting up selective sorting.
• Reduction of power consumption: 37% within a 10-year period.
• Since 2011, support had been given to the development of renewable forms of energy.
• Raising the awareness of our suppliers about the environmental approach.

Continued development of this approach will be a core concern for SOFIC in the years to come.
